Your Purpose

R.E.A.L Education provides both independent special schools placements and market leading alternative education.  We are seeking someone who has knowledge and experience of delivering a mechanic provision, ideally in a SEN/D provision.

 

One of our more popular vocational subjects with our learners is mechanics. We deliver from our garages in Mansfield and Nottingham city centre. These garages are unique in that they are fully equipped with the necessary tools and equipment to deliver qualifications to our learners. The garages are also very lucky to have an excellent team of Group Tutors who pride themselves on using innovative approaches to engagement in education.

 

 

Job Role:         Mechanic Group Tutor

Contract:        Term-time – 39+2 weeks/Permanent/ 37.5 hours per week

Salary:             Starting £21,000 per annum (FTE)

 

We Need

Our ideal candidate is someone who is hands-on, willing to roll up their sleeves to get stuck in and has some experience of working with young people who can sometimes display challenging behaviours. Therefore, you must be resilient and be able to manage situations calmly but with pace.

 

We need someone who has the relevant mechanical skills, knowledge and experience to deliver automotive qualifications and support our Learners personal development as well as academic achievement.
