Job Role: Specialist Teaching Assistant
Contract: Term-time, Permanent, 30 hours per week
Salary: £18,020 – £19,843 per annum (FTE)
Your Purpose
To support and maintain a high level of learner engagement through collaborative preparation and delivery of an innovative, creative and flexible curriculum. To teach 1:1 and small group sessions as required. To use a collaborative and multi-agency holistic approach to delivering an education provision which includes attention to health and safety awareness, risk management and the safeguarding of young people.
We Need
We need an experienced Teaching Assistant ready to take the next step in their career and has experience of working with children and young people who have complex additional needs such as ADHD, Autism and SEN super powers. You need to hold a minimum level 3 in an education, health or social care qualification and the ability to positively engage our learners. Our learners need someone who is supportive of their individual learning needs, is passionate about education and invested to supporting our belief that every child has a future.
There is a need to be able to travel between sites within the specified locality to support and engage with young people as required. A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for transporting them to various locations.
